Today three of our members begin their journey to becoming certified Firefighters in Massachusetts. Paramedics Katherine Borkowski (Bourne Fire Department), Tyler Reardon (Rockland Fire Department) and Jacob Warmington (Duxbury Fire Department) start at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy in Bridgewater today. The Academy is 10 weeks of training to certify them as Firefighters I and II at the completion where they'll return to their respective departments to begin long and successful careers. We wish them the best and hope they take time to enjoy every minute over the next 10 weeks. They'll be missed and we look forward to getting them back on our truck afterwards!!
Carver EMS, Police and Fire responded to Tremont Street for a multi-car MVA. One patient needed to be extricated with the jaws of life and 3 patients in total were transported to the local trauma center. Please avoid the area.
The Carver Select Board along with Senator Kelly Dooner, Representative Gaskey, Carver Police Chief Duphily and EMS Chief Ryan recognized the life saving actions of Carver Police and EMS members at their meeting on Wednesday, December 10th.
